Quintessence // Wallpaper Wizardry, The Schumacher Library of Wallcoverings

CLOTH & KIND Interiors // Schumacher

We're truly over the moon that our Ann Arbor Hills Tudor project will be featured in "The Schumacher Library of Wallcoverings." There is absolutely nothing quite like using a statement wallpaper to add character, depth & infinite amounts of interest to any space. Below, we used Celerie Kemble’s Feather Bloom to liven up this traditional alcove in an unpredictable way.

Luxe Magazine // Seen on the Scene at High Point Market

CLOTH & KIND Interiors // Luxe Magazine

So excited to be featured by High Point Market in the July/August 2017 edition of luxe. interiors + design Magazine.  Here we talk about some of the favorite themes we saw at Spring Market:

"While it isn't a trend but rather a predictable constant in design, metals were on display at Spring Market. Seeing the way companies like Milling Road for Baker reimagined classic finishes – as they did with the Wrap console - in a fresh and modern way is incredibly inspiring to us. The marble top paired with the sexy & sleek base makes this piece a total showstopper.

Vintage was another strong theme we saw in furnishings, art and accessories. We were impressed with the Barrie Benson collection for Highland House. The way she reimagined vintage pieces of furniture and explored bold color palettes was exciting beyond words!"

CLOTH & KIND // Pittsburgh Magazine

CLOTH & KIND gives their input on upcoming color and material trends in the design world in a recent article for Pittsburgh Magazine.

"Krista Nye Nicholas and Tami Ramsay, Style Spotters and creators of CLOTH & KIND Interiors, an interior design studio with locations in Michigan and Georgia, say they witnessed new and exciting textures at the market. “We [saw] every hue of green from moss and chartreuse to emerald and British racing green, as well as all kinds of organic materials like raffia, sisal and sea grasses and tons of new twists involving natural stone and wood,” Nicholas says.  Geometric patterns, monochrome color schemes and color block designs also play a role in today’s trends. “Black and white juxtaposed together [are] big, along with greens being the new neutral,” says Wiebe. Designers note that’s not to say you shouldn’t add a pop of color to your home — perhaps a little green."

Detroit Home // CLOTH & KIND Wins Two 2017 DHDA Awards

CLOTH & KIND Interiors is a proud recipient of two 2017 Detroit Home Design Awards for the "Historic Renovation/Restoration" and "Use of Fabric/Wall Coverings" categories.

1ST PLACE - Historic Renovation/ Restoration

This historic home in Detroit’s New Center neighborhood was built in 1907. Although much of the home was still in its beautiful, original condition, the kitchen had gone through some horrible updates in the 1980s and needed to be reimagined. The clients were willing to take risks with color, and the end result features beautiful golden backsplash tile and hints of gray-blue throughout.

"By keeping these prints as limited edition runs, Zoe Bios Creative helps to maintain some relationship with the unique aspect of the actual paper pieces, which are one-of-a-kind,” said Amy Flurry, co-founder of Paper-Cut-Project. “And because these we build them one cut at a time and by hand, it is impossible for any two pieces to be the same, and the luxury fashion houses and museums that have commissioned our work all value that exclusivity and evidence of hand.” Dramatic and singularly stunning, the 15-piece collection of fine art prints was curated by Krista Nye Nicholas and Tami Ramsay of interior design firm Cloth & Kind. Each framed photograph comes in a limited edition run, ranging from 25 to 100.

CLOTH & KIND // Paper-Cut-Project Curated by CLOTH & KIND for Zoe Bios

Zoe Bios Creative recently announced that it will celebrate a new collection of exclusive prints by Paper-Cut-Project with cocktails and conversation with the artists Nikki Nye and Amy Flurry. The Atlanta-based art duo’s sculptural paper wigs and hand-cut accessories have been commissioned by global luxury fashion houses including Hermes, Christies, Valentino, Cartier and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

The 15-piece collection was curated by Krista Nye Nicholas and Tami Ramsay, principals behind the nationally-recognized interior design firm, CLOTH & KIND. The designing duo was also selected as 2017 High Point Furnishings Market “Style Spotters.” The prints will be sold in limited edition runs of 25.

This selection was a kickoff to CLOTH & KIND representing Zoe Bios Creative in their Michigan studio. “We love these prints for the feminine strength communicated through the sophisticated designs. “We have long been fans of their work and this synergistic kind of collaboration is what we’re all about,” says Nicholas.

Co-founded by Minh Nguyen and Caitlin Dinkins in 2011, Zoe Bios Creative is an art and design house based in Los Angeles.
